How to fill a PDF that won't let you type
You open a PDF, click on a blank line, and nothing happens — the cursor will not go there. This is one of the most common form headaches, and the reason is almost always the same.
Why it happens
A PDF only lets you type where it has an interactive form field. Two situations block you: the form was never given fillable fields (it is a "flat" PDF meant for printing), or it is a scan — an image of paper. In both cases a basic viewer has nowhere to put your text, so it ignores your click.
The fix
